Gregory Masiko
(PT, MSPT / Co-Owner)
Greg joins the Motive Physical Therapy family as a co-owner and operator, after more than 20 years of highly regarded and successful practice in the greater Philadelphia region.
Greg started his healthcare journey at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster PA, where he earned a BA in Biology and participated as a collegiate athlete on the baseball team. He sustained an elbow injury that ended his baseball career prematurely but directed him toward a career in physical therapy. After graduation, Greg worked at the University of Pennsylvania in conjunction with renowned biomedical researchers on lung injury.
After acceptance into the Physical Therapy program at Thomas Jefferson University, Greg participated as a graduate assistant in the Orthopedic program. He completed a graduate project focused on the efficacy of hyaluronic acid injections and their relationship to changes in gait function and knee pain.
Earning his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2003, Greg started his career in the University of Pennsylvania healthcare system before being recruited into private practice where he became a very successful and influential clinic manager. Working exclusively in the outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy setting for the last 20 years, Greg has been a clinic director for 18 years building a strong relationship with the local residential and medical community.
Greg’s clinical focus is treating full body dysfunction through specific hands-on treatment using a variety of techniques including ART, GRASTON, Mulligan, McKenzie, and Maitland. Greg has had the pleasure of working with professional, Olympic, collegiate, and school-age athletes with a particular interest in those participating in overhead sports, although he also enjoys working with clients that want to get back to a pain-free and uninterrupted lifestyle seeking their highest level of function.
A native of Southern New Jersey, Greg is familiar with the Philadelphia region after living in Philadelphia County, Delaware County, and currently in Chester County where he resides with his wife, two children, and dogs. While not in the clinic, Greg enjoys spending time with family, cooking, traveling, outdoor activities, coaching, and watching his children play travel sports.
His life motto is, “effort and attitude are the keys to success”.
